Sara Buckelew, MD, MPH is an associate clinical professor in pediatrics, specifically in adolescent medicine. She specializes in adolescent medicine in the Adolescent and Young Adult Clinic at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital. She started the UCSF Eating Disorders Program in 2007 where she treats teens with eating disorders including anorexia nervosa and bulimia. Dr. Buckelew earned a medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania and completed residencies at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles and at UC Berkeley and UCSF in preventive medicine and public health. She also completed her adolescent medicine fellowship at UCSF. Dr. Buckelew, who has a master's degree in public health, is a member of the American College of Preventive Medicine, American Teachers of Preventive Medicine, and Society for Adolescent Medicine.
