Sanjay Sharma, MD, MSc (Epid), MBA, a Professor of Ophthalmology and Epidemiology at Queen's University, has received numerous awards for research, innovation and teaching, including ones from the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the Hugh Pross Educational Technology award from Queen's University. Dr. Sharma has authored of over 200 scientific articles that appear in the peer-reviewed literature and two books including the American Medical Association Press's Evidence-Based to Value-Based Medicine.  An active researcher in educational technology and knowledge translation, Dr. Sharma completed his medical training at Harvard University.
