Robin Love, MD, completed his medical degree at the University of British Columbia in 1986 followed by 2 years at McGill University (Family Medicine). Early in his career he developed an interest in palliative medicine. Dr. Love has been the CME chairman for the Canadian Society of Palliative Care Physicians and has taught internationally as well. He is actively involved in the UBC Faculty of Medicine program at the Nanaimo BC site on Vancouver Island, and continues to work as a family physician and palliative physician. He has received awards for teaching and contributions to the practice of medicine including the BC College of Family Physicians “Community Family Physician of the Year” 2009,the College of Family Physicians of Canada “Award of Excellence” 2009, the Professional Association of Residents of British Columbia 2010 “Dr. Patricia Clugston Memorial Award for Excellence in Teaching”, and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia “Award of Excellence” 2014.
