Millan Patel, MD, MSc, FCCMG, FRCP(C) is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Medical Genetics at UBC and practices at the Children’s and Women’s Health Centre of BC. He completed his MD at the University of Alberta, his residency at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and his postdoctoral work at Baylor College of Medicine. In addition to clinical work and a hobby lab at the BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute where he looks for genes for rare vascular disorders, Dr. Patel is also the co-founder and Chief Medical Officer of the Rare Disease Foundation.
