Lukasz Cygan, DO, completed his medical studies at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency, including a year as chief resident, at Staten Island University Hospital, and was named "Teaching Resident of the Year". After completion, he has stayed on at SIUH and is active in resident education. In March 2016, Dr. Cygan was semifinalist runner-up at the National Clinical Pathological Case Competition at the Council of Residency Directors (CORD) Scientific Assembly.
