Lori Albert, MD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at U of T, with a particular interest in undergraduate education. She graduated from the University of Toronto Medical School and did her residency training in internal medicine and rheumatology in Toronto. She did post-doctoral research in immunology and then went on to pursue a career as a clinician educator at the University Health Network, Toronto Western Hospital. Dr. Albert, who has won many teaching awards and honours, including the prestigious Aikins award from the Faculty of Medicine at U of T, is the creator and editor of the Canadian Residents’ Rheumatology Handbook.
